Position-Time Graphs - Conceptual Analysis

The Position-TIme Graphs - Conceptual Analysis Concept Builder is a concept-building tool that provides the learner with practice relating the features of a position-time graph to the motion of the object. The Concept Builder includes 46 questions grouped into 14 different Question Groups and spread across three different activities. Activity 1 - Words and Graphs - challenges the learner to inspect graph features and identify the line or lines on a graph that are characteristics of a particular type of motion (constant speed motion, changing speed motion, positive velocity, etc.). Activity 2 - Speed Rankings - challenges the learner to look at three lines on a position-time graph for three different objects' motion and to rank the speeds of the three objects from smallest to greatest. Activity 3 - Dots and Graphs - challenges learners to associate a dot diagram with a position-time graph. Question-specific help is provided for each question. Use of this Concept Builder with our Task Tracker system allows teachers to track student progress.
