Proportional Reasoning
The Proportional Reasoning Concept Builder targets student ability to recognize the mathematical patterns in a given data set and to use the recognized pattern to predict the value of the dependent variable that results from a doubling, tripling, or quadrupling of the independent variable. There are 14 different situations to analyze and three activities. The activities are titled
Which Two Rows,
Predict the Value, and
Extrapolate. Question-specific help is provided for each of the 14 situations.
Use of this Concept Builder with our Task Tracker system allows teachers to track student progress.
Users are encouraged to open the Concept Builder and explore. There is no need for an activity sheet for this Concept Builder. However, the 14 different groups of questions can be printed. View
