Proportional Reasoning

The Proportional Reasoning Concept Builder targets student ability to recognize the mathematical patterns in a given data set and to use the recognized pattern to predict the value of the dependent variable that results from a doubling, tripling, or quadrupling of the independent variable. There are 14 different situations to analyze and three activities. The activities are titled Which Two Rows, Predict the Value, and Extrapolate. Question-specific help is provided for each of the 14 situations. The built-in score-keeping makes this Concept Builder a perfect candidate for a classroom activity.
