Electric Current
In the Electric Current Concept Builder, learners explore the meaning of current in the context of a simple circuit. There are 50 total questions that are organized into 18 different Question Groups and spread across three Activities. The three activities include Fundamentals, Case Studies, and Law Breakers.
Activity 1 - Fundamentals challenges learners to identify which configurations of a cell, a bulb and a wire will result in a lit bulb. In
Activity 2 - Case Studies, learners are provided a description of a circuit and then must predict how the current would change if there was a change in the number of cells or the number of bulbs ort he resistance of the bulbs. And in
Activity 3 - Law Breakers, learners analyze three circuits and inspect indicators of current and bulb brightness in order to determine which circuit(s) violate a principle about current. Question-specific help is provided for each of the 18 situations. Use of this Concept Builder with our Task Tracker system allows teachers to track student progress.
