Limiting Reactants

The Limiting Reactants Concept Builder provides an exercise in approaching limiting reactant problems. There are three activities in this Concept Builder. The first activity is a warm-up in which students relate the moles of reactant to the moles of product. The second and third activities are limiting reactant problems in which the amount of both reactants are provided. Students must determine the amount of product produced, the amount of unreacted (excess, left over) reactant, and the identity of the limiting reactant.

A built-in number pad makes numerical entry very easy on mobile devices. Feedback is immediate and students can correct their incorrect answers. Help is provided for each difficulty level. Built-in score-keeping makes this Concept Builder a perfect candidate for a classroom activity (for Task Tracker users only).
