Equilibrium ICE Table

The Equilibrium ICE Table Concept Builder is designed to guide learners through the process of using an ICE Table to solve for the equilibrium constant value. An ICE Table (ICE is short for initial-change-equilibrium) lists the concentrations of reactants and products in the initial state and uses algebraic and stoichiometric reasoning in order to determine the concentrations of reactants and products in the equilibrium state. There are 48 total questions organized into 12 Question Groups and spread across three levels of difficulty. Guidance is provided on each question and question-specific help is available through the Help Me! button When used with our Task Tracker system, the Concept Builder makes for an effective out-of-class activity.
