Coulombs Law

The Coulombs Law Concept Builder is a tool that allows the learner to predict the effect of varying charge and varying separation distance upon the electrical force with which two charged attract or repel each other. There are 16 different situations to analyze and three ability levels. Each situation requires that the learner use proportional reasoning and Coulomb's Law of Electrical Force in order to determine the force that would result when one or more of the object charges and/or the separation distance between objects is altered. Question-specific help is provided for each of the 16 situations. Use of this Concept Builder with our Task Tracker system allows teachers to track student progress.
