Angular Acceleration

The Angular Acceleration Concept Builder addresses the concept of angular acceleration for an object undergoing rotational motion The Concept Builder consists of 40 total questions organized into 13 different Question Groups and spread across three Activities. In the first activity, Getting the Angle on Acceleration, learners are provided information about a rotating object (in the form of words, graphs, or tabular data) and must decide if the object is experiencing an angular acceleration. In the second activity, +, -, or 0, learners are given a description of an object's clockwise or counterclockwise motion and information on whether it is speeding up, slowing down, or moving with a constant speed and must decide if the angular acceleration is positive, negative, or zero. In the third activity, Crunch the Numbers, learners use given information to calculate the value of the angular acceleration. Question-specific help is provided for each of the 13 situations. Use of this Concept Builder with our Task Tracker system allows teachers to track student progress.
